The AFFA Competition celebrates Adult Works that explore an aspect of sexuality within the TMNT multi-verse. This aspect is not limited to erotica, it can include other genres such as the exploration of the emotions related to both positive and negative sexual experiences. Therefore the AFFA Competition encompasses and celebrates both Erotic and Non-Erotic Adult Works.
The AFFA Competition does not accept works that endorse or condone pedophilia. The AFFA Competition does not encourage works where adult rape is endorsed or condoned, and clear and explicit warnings are required for any work containing non-consensual acts. However, the AFFA Competition does encourage works where these issues and their consequences are explored in a realistic, responsible and mature way.
The goals of the AFFA Competition are;
Encourage and support all creators of TMNT-related Adult Works. It is our hope that those that are not nominated one year will not take it as a set-back, but a challenge to be risen to for the next year, as should every person nominated as well.
Strengthen the sense of community within the TMNT Adult Fandom as a whole.
Promote awareness of the wide range of websites, communities and forums that embody the TMNT Adult Fandom online.
Create a readily accessible library of links that encompasses some of the best Adult Works from each year, thus encouraging a greater and ongoing audience for these works. It is our hope that this will create a flow-on effect of more audience participation for the Adult Fandom as a whole, as people enjoy accessing the works within this library and go on to search for other works from the same creators, their contemporaries, post-locations and time-frames.
Give an annual and repeated ‘snap-shot’ of the constantly changing tastes and trends within TMNT Adult Fandom.
